We give thanks to our Troops....

To my Conservative Friends:

On this Thanksgiving day, I wanted to remind all of us that we have much to be thankful for.... We live in the most generous, free and greatest country ever created by man.... Our founding fathers had wisdom beyond their time to create a union as great and as lasting as ours...

But, today, I would like to give thanks to our troops who put it on on the line to fight for freedom for us and others around the globe who seek it... To be part of this very special group is truly something extraordinary to be proud of and to be honored...

I remember a great tribute by a great American Company, Budweiser that, if it doesn't bring a tear to your eye, I don't know what will:

Sometimes we get so busy with our lives and jobs that we take it for granted the service and sacrifice they willingly and enthusiastically volunteer to this great land...

So lets remember our brave men and women who defend our freedom and make us so proud...

May God protect the troops and Bless the United States of America...

Have a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving...

  1. Mike, it's so good to see people like you so absolutely miserable. And it warms my heart to know that this is just the beginning. You're going to have to live with our new President of the United States of America, a man named Barack Hussein Obama. He's going to be YOUR president and the president of your spouse and kids.

I'm SO GLAD people like you lost. And the changes we make are going to be Permanent: Once the middle class gets used to a taste of what everyone gets in Western Europe, they'll never want to return to the bullshit of "free market capitalism" which promises everything for everyone and delivers to about 10% of the population.

Again, I'm so glad Barack Obama kicked your asses on Election Day. But, more importantly, your shopworn, discredited and corrupt ideas got thrown in the trash as well.

Watching you, and the other Limbaugh Lickers whining and moaning is a great added bonus to the wonderful victory of Obama and the liberals!

    Best,
    JC

  2. Jim:

It speaks volumes of you and your like that you choose to leave such a vile comment on a post thanking and saluting the troops on a day we should all give thanks to be Americans...

It just shows that libs want nothing to do with the troops and what they do for us...

It seems like you said above, you are interested in what Barry will "get you" like your liberal friends in western Europe (a great model for liberal extremists)...

How about encouraging all of us to "get" what we want in life from ourselves, instead of standing there with cup in hand waiting for Barry and the libs to "give" it to you....

Plenty of area and articles in here to debate the issues, but why not just pause here and thank the troops...

Is that possible for a lib???

    I think it could be...

  3. Thank God for our soldiers, and thank God for a President who respects them and has done what he could to see that they have the logistical and command-level support needed to successfully carry out their missions in the world. I pray the next administration sees the need for a strong military and does what it can to keep our military strong and respected.

  4. In your opening paragraph lies a chief difference between a conservative and a liberal, Jim. You say to Mike that Barack Obama will be his President come January 20th, and that is true. I did not vote for him, but I will respect the Office of the President and whoever holds the position. For the last eight years I have heard countless liberals say, "Bush isn't my President!"

On to Western Europe, home of a lot of wonderful social programs such as healthcare and education to be sure. But, it's also home of 70% to 80% income taxes in several countries. Then there are the waiting lists in order to get the "free" healthcare. You could end up waiting weeks for something labeled as an emergency in Britain and even in Canada, provided you don't die in the queue. I had one friend in Britain whose mother waited weeks for treatment for acute appendicitis, an ailment that could kill you. Another friend in Canada had to have her gall bladder out, and they told her it would be months before she could get treated, if at all. She ended up moving to the States and marrying a local before this could happen, and when her husband made her go in for treatment she was amazed when the doctor scheduled her for scans and then surgery within a week. What a difference!

Sorry, I'll stick with my lower tax rates and my current healthcare system.
