5 Things I will miss most about President Bush..

To my Conservative Friends:

I have to hand it to our Commander-in-Chief, he is one amazing person. I don't know about the rest of you, but there is no way in hell, I would be able to show the restraint and dignity this President has shown after being totally dis-respected the way he has been for the past 8 years.

This past weekend, I am sure everyone has heard of the show-throwing incident in President Bush's final visit to the country he liberated from a tyrannical dictator some 5 years ago. And if you didn't see it, I'm sure you heard the media's glee about it all over the world. You expect that from the Arab world, but the US media, was just as complicit. To constantly show it and repeat over and over how "in the Arab world, throwing one's shoes is the ultimate form of dis-respect". Any opportunity to stick-it to the President is what the media has lived on for years now...

Yet, President Bush shows amazing humility, grace and humor to deflect the anger and lack of gratitude he must have felt after the despicable incident. I have always said the man must have an inner peace and calm about him not to explode and go postal at times..

I have not always agreed with everything President Bush has done. However, I think his accomplishments were unappreciated. So, I have compiled the top 5 things I will miss about our President:

1. He has kept us safe from the bad guys - Pure and simple, nobody can deny that President Bush and his aggressive policies against terrorists from the creation of the Dept. of Homeland Security to Gitmo to countless terror threats thwarted by his administration that he NEVER, EVER gets an once of credit for... Well, Mr. President, on behalf of my family, I want to thank you for keeping us safe... No other task was more important and you handle that better than anyone could have...

Will Barry be as vigilant.... When a foreign crisis hits, and Barry is "thinking" about "talking" to the terrorists, we will all be longing for GW to "Bring 'em on!!!"

2. No more Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS) - Yes the Looney left has become crazy, hateful and downright crazed about the President... Their unhinged signs and actions have become standard practice on the Communist News Network and MSLSD... But with Barry in power, they won't have GW to kick around anymore....

3. His amazing generosity around the world - Nobody can deny that the President has brought freedom the the middle east... Time and history will determine if it takes hold and flourishes, but you can not deny his motives were genuine. Additionally, no other President has done more for the continent of Africa in the form of attention, assistance and aid than President Bush. The African people know it and although I never here him get credit for it (other than Bill O'Reilly) you can tell the Africans appreciate and support the President's efforts:

4. Laura Bush - No other first lady has exuded the class and dignity than our Laura. The country absolutely loves her and she is the definition of the word "Lady". How will the country take to MM, or Militant Michelle?? I don't know, but she won't be Laura, that's for sure...

5. President Bush, the man - Above all else, this is a very good man. A very decent man. Even the President's most ardent opponents have said publicly that when they meet the President, he is an extremely likable and decent person... The man is the type of guy that you would like to have as your friend. Everyone remembers him during the tough times following 9/11 on the pile of wreckage rallying the country behind him and his speech to the Nation after the tragedy. However, I always remember that one ad during the 2004 election where President Bush met a girl names Ashley whose mother died during 9/11. In case you don't remember, here it is:

If that doesn't tell you what type of man he is inside, I don't know what will..

The world has been extremely tough on this man for the mistakes that were made that he must pay for because they happened on his watch,. But I think history will determine that this was a great man with strong convictions that led us in some very tough times with humility, empathy and strength...

I would love to know your thoughts as well..

I, for one, would like to say, thank you, Mr. President. You will be missed.

Just my thoughts...

GOP Mike

  2. Well said! May all his critics realize their errors just before paying the piper, as a "price" must be paid.

The Dems opened Pandora's book to winback power, but now economy is not cooperating. History, if we can still write about it in the coming Dark Ages, should be much kinder to President Bush.

Thx for the comments and the info for the President...

This is a man who will be appreciated when we don't have him anymore...

He was solid as a rock in protecting us from these terrorists. Disagree with him on policies, but none of that matters if we have terror attacks in the streets...

Just think about it - 7 years (knock on wood) since 9-11 and no attacks on our country...

How often do you see him get credited for that???

  6. Also - 1 thing I should have included in the article that I didn't:

President Bush has been a staunch supporter of protecting life... By signing the ban on that barbaric procedure, partial-birth abortion, he has shown his true desire to protect the unborn from this atrocity....

Call me crazy (and a lot of my lib friends do), but I just don't get how a civilized society can't figure out a better way to handle this than killing un-born babies...

Living in NY, I would guess app. 75% of the people here are pro-abortion....

If they really took the time to see what it is and not pretend its like getting your appendix out, they would think differently....

Anyway, Thx President Bush for being on our side of this as well..

A subject for a future article...

  7. Mike I think you and Bush needs a reality check.

Look at the state of this country and the world over and tell me he is not responsible for most of it.

I can't wait for this incompetent buffoon and his cronies to leave office. You keep talking about him keeping us safe but the attack happened on his watch and by his policies and incompetence he has created more enemies for the US than ever.

He has left us bankrupt, isolated from the world and in a depression and the same people that are sponsoring terrorism probably owns most of this country now. where do you think all that bail out money he keeps giving away comes from

Millions of people are loosing their jobs and the economy is in the shit hole but SO WHAT!!! he has kept us safe right

If you are following the economy you would know that the credit disaster was the primary, overriding reason for this econominc mess.. I am in Real Estate and I can tell you that this single-handidly ripped the economy to shreds...

And whose fault was that??? Yes, it happended on Bush's watch and he takes the fall, but it was the dems who are responsible for it. Read my article on 11/28 in the archives above entitled "Libs and the blame game - Shameless!!!" and it details out the cause and effect of these sub-prime loans...

If this was halted or controlled when the Republicans wanted, we would not be in this mess right now....

And you say, "he has left us isolated in the world" (who do you mean - France and Germany - who cares!!!!) I would rather be isolated from the world and be safe than sipping tea and eating croissants with the French weanies and put the sign out front "open for attack".

Do you think if we show the terrorists were nice they will leave us alone???

I can see Barry negotiating with Al-Qaeda and them stuffing him in a locker and Barry yelling: "Hey guys, its not nice to stuff me in this locker... Can we talk about this??? Guys... Don't leave me here... guys...."

C'mon, let's live in the real world... You think just because Barry arrives and decides to talk to the terrorists and despots, that they will all of a sudden say, "hey - those Americans are all right!!!" Really... They hate everything about us - Our freedoms, our way of life, everything...

If you are not tough, they will walk all over you....

But you keep blaming Bush for all the ills of the world without really analyzing the true cause...

Trust me, there will come a day soon when we need tough, straight answers in a time of crisis and Barry will be peeing in his pants wondering why the terrorists are not "enthralled" by his oratory skills and you will say - "I wish Bush were here."

Appreciate your comment though, misguided as it is....

  9. You are a total and complete kool aid drinking moron. This administration has done more to undermine the rights of the People than any other group of people in the history of this country. Wake the hell up, please, and join the rest of the country.

  10. Anonymous lib:

Why can't you Man-up and sign your posts so we know who you are???

    Is that you Rosie????

Anyway, typical lib crying that Big Bad President Bush has taken their rights from them....

Waaaahhhh..... Need a bottle baby???? Is it time for your diaper to be changed????

Name one time where you have had your rights diminished or taken as a result of what President Bush has done since 9-11....

Don't worry, he will still let you protest with your hippie, lib friends and smoke your peace-pipe at Barry's inauguration....
