The Auto Bailout - Who gives a ----!!!!!! Let it Die!!!

To my Conservative Friends:

I don't know about you guys, but I am so tired of hearing about these bailouts... And this auto bailout is the straw that broke the Conservatives back... So I am ecstatic this morning that the senate Republicans rejected the bailout bill... But you can bet Nasty Pelosi, Reid and the other libs in congress will try again to revive it...

Our friend Van Helsing at Moonbattery posted the best pic depicting the auto bailout I have seen yet:

You listen to the "BREAKING News" and you hear the libs pissing and moaning again that the walls will cave in and Armegeddon will be here if we don't bail them out... Are you kidding me or what??? What's the worst that could happen if these companies were forced to actually support themselves, restructure, cut costs and if all else fails..... declare bankruptcy. They can then restructure themselves, trim their costs, engineer some better vehicles and have a fresh start to start to actually compete with their foreign competitors...

So the question is why is everyone afraid of this logical alternative? The answer in one simple dirty answer - The slimy, corrupt unions!!!!

Thats right I said it - The unions are the ones that are claiming the world will cave in if we don't prevent these companies from falling... Their grossly dis-proprtional contracts have crippled the big 3 auto makers to the tune of an additional $2,000 per car in additional labor and related benefits costs that have basically made them unable to compete with the foreign companies...

It is not that they don't make a comparable product, its just the labor union contracts have put an albatross around their necks like a kryptonite necklace around Superman... You can look at all the union bosses that make grotesque salaries, a tidy little idea called JobBank which pays thousand of union workers for not working at all and all the obsene vacation, retirement and other "perks" that these members get... Now don;t get me wrong, I have no issue with these people getting these benefits that they negotiated for, but now that they are criplling the companies, and they want you and me to pay for their excesses.... I say no thanks!!!

So the car companies declare bankruptcy, restructure all these obsene union contracts to become competitive again... Will some people lose their jobs and some of their cushy benefits? Of cource, but that's life...

Sometimes in an economy, you have to take a few "Rovers" or companies in the backyard a give them a shovel to the back of the head... In a capitalitist society, which is what we have in this country (and it is not an evil word), you have to clean out the basement every once in a while and start anew...

So the libs in congress are deparately trying to save the auto makers. Using the words economic abyss and dyer consequences if we don't... What would happen if we don't??? We have to buy a Toyota or a Honda??? Oh, I get it, we will be screwed if we have to buy a better product for a cheaper price - OK - I see the urgency here...

The urgency is to save the union big-wigs and their members from their cushy contracts that resemble government jobs... Well, I am sure most of you reading this who are not auto union members can be fired tomorrow and there won't be any bailout plan or Union contract to cover you...

So, I join the millions of conservatives around the country when I say to the bailout bonanza...

ENOUGH!!!! Let 'em die!!! Congratulations to the Senate Republicans... At least someone is looking out for the folks...

Just my thoughts..

GOP Mike

  1. I completely agree. It's ridiculous to think about, but GM had its best sales year ever in 2007. They sold 9 million cars. The same as Toyota. GM lost 40 billion. Toyota made 20 billion. Anyone else see something wrong with this picture.

  2. Derek:

The unions think nothing is wrong here.... And propped up by their lib friends in congress, they have no reason to back-down...
