3 Tell-Tale Signs of Barry Remorse after 10 Short Days...

To my Conservative Friends:

KumBama my Lord....... KumBamaaaaaa..... KumBamaaaaaa my Lord.... KumBamaaaaaaaa.

It just 10 days ago, the Messiah and his family strolled up to take the oath on that blustery January morning in our Nation's Capital. He had a clean slate and everyone said he was going to be different. A new era of hope and bi-partisanship is upon us!!!

He was going to reach across the aisle and put together a economic recovery plan that was so genius, so masterful that it passes unanimously in the Congress. And after the signing of the bill, Stretch Pelosi hugs and kisses all the Republican leaders as they toast to the new Prophet-in-Chief...

Kumbama my Lord....... Kumbamaaaaaa..... Kumbamaaaaaa my Lord.... Kumbamaaaaaaaa.

He was going to keep us safe and make us forget the "disastrous" last 8 years by closing GITMO and giving the terrorists equal rights so they can become constructive citizens of the new United States of the World....

Kumbama my Lord....... Kumbamaaaaaa..... Kumbamaaaaaa my Lord.... Kumbamaaaaaaaa.

He goes to speak to the arab street and says, "I have Muslim blood, so we are cool, right????" And, miraculously they put down their arms and decades of entrenched hatred gets swiped away with just a flash of those Barry pearly whites and blink of his oh-so kind eyes...

Kumbama my Lord....... Kumbamaaaaaa..... Kumbamaaaaaa my Lord.... Kumbamaaaaaaaa.

Too bad guys in sandals and robes with peace flowers and pamphlets don't run the country...

Now, back to REALITY......

Prez Barry has had an interested first 10 days. The media is still in stage 1-A of its fawning and drooling cycle, so don't expect and insightful analysis of his decisions to date out of this group. That is why we are here - to give honest assessments and observations on whats really happening in the minds of educated and informed Americans...

There are a few subtle signs that Barry remorse is slowly setting in and the country is waking up the next morning, looking over and saying "what the hell happened here!!!!"

Here are just 3 instances I have noted:

1. The bi-partisanship that Barry hoped for on his "stimulus" bill went up in flames when not only every Republican in the House blasted it and voted Nay, but 10 Democrat Representatives also gave he bill the death blow.

The bill passed because of the knee-jerk socialists in the chamber, but it does not indicate Barry has any cross-over powers in his magic cigarettes that all in the MSM had predicted...

2. Barry's plan to close GITMO and suspend the hearings of the detainees has met with stiff resistance. Not only has every conservative blasted the notion that we should actually go ahead with his absurd campaign promise he made to the Daily-Kook crowd, but a lot of dems have also said it might not be the best course of action...

Additionally, an article in the Washington Composte yesterday stated a Military judge rejected Barry's plea that the hearings for the terrorists be suspended. So much for that idea....

3. After the despicable display at the inauguration where the Nobama supporters actually booed the President, the President has not made any public appearances until yesterday.

He and Laura attended a Texas college basketball game and were given a prolonged and very warm standing ovation. Finally, some respect for the man that has been so disrespected by the sum-bag liberals who hate him so much...

You can see the video, by clicking here...

President Bush gets standing ovation at basketball game...

So taking these 3 instances, you can see that its not going to be all rain drops and roses for our new President. He's not going to run rough-shod over the Republicans in Congress and he better make the country's safety his #1 priority, because if his actions lead to an attack on our country, the country will be longing for President Bush to return and will send Barry and his new brand of socialism packing....

Just my thoughts....

GOP Mike

  1. I applied for a civilian contractor’s job in Kuwait dealing with sensitive US military information. It requires a security clearance. If I told them I had worked as a community organizer and had associated with Frank Davis and William Ayers I wonder if they’d give it to me. Actually, I wonder if they’d give it to me if I told them I’d been friends with one Barak Obama. And if they did, one wonders what, exactly, I would have to tell them to flunk the interview.

  2. You people are so disgusting. The stimulus bill failed because Republicans are playing politics and don't want to put the good of the country ahead of personal, petty political gain. You'll find that the Senate will be a different story, where the Republicans there aren't so hyperpartisan and controlled by the Rush Limbaugh crowd. People like Olympia Snowe, Judd Gregg, Arlen Specter--even John McCain and John Ensign--have the common sense to actually put partisan politics aside and *consider* what the President's package has.

Senator Collins and Senator Nelson should be commended for what they're doing. When President Obama sat down with House Republicans, he made a number of concessions to appease them. He cut out funding for family planning agencies, and in turn added a number of pork projects for Republican members. The House Republicans got every single one of their demands in the stimulus package, without having to actually vote for it. What Senators Collins and Nelson are doing is trimming the stimulus package down to its original state--stripping the Republican pork projects and such--so that we can actually get real economic recovery without the distractions of Republican obstructionism.

Closing Guantanamo Bay is an important part of reforming America's global image as well. Whatever your view on President Bush, you must recognize that he took a very aggressive, unilateral approach to foreign affairs. President Obama, however, is sending a message that we're changing this policy--we're going to focus more on negotiation, multilateral tactics, and choosing peace over war. Closing Guantanamo sends this message to the world, just like appointing Mrs. Clinton to the State Department did. Returning Guantanamo to Cuba shows the world we're serious about working with other countries, and that we will no longer ignore laws, treaties, and conventions to suit our own needs.

President Obama has only been on the job for a week and a half. It is unfair, and in fact rude, to be judging his presidency this early. It seems that you folks are like Rush Limbaugh--you *want* Obama to fail. I don't know about you, but I don't want to be uninsured, I don't want to have a poor school system, I don't want bridges to collapse underneath me, and I sure as hell don't want to be poor. I *do* want Obama to succeed, even if it means putting pork projects and partisan politics aside.

As for the comment before me, you're just as petty as Mr. Boehner, Mr. Cantor, and the House Republicans. The campaign is over, you seem to fail to realize this. Barack Obama is the President of the United States. This is fact. Just embrace it and use that fact to work for a better America.
