GOP Mike's Predictions for 2009!!!

To my Conservative Friends:

Happy New Year to you and your family.... With a fresh new year upon us, we all have goals and aspirations for the year... A lot of things will happen that will surprise us all and some things might happen that we could see coming a mile away....

So, with that being said, I would like to head out on that limb, be daring and make a few prognostications of my own.... So, let's get into our Doc Brown time machine/Delorean and fast forward some 360 days from today and see what has transpired in the past year that was 2009:

Political World

1. Obama goes left.... President Obama (man, its going to take me a while getting used to that) will trash all this centrist talk we have heard during the transition and start governing like the liberal he is (psych!!! fooled ya' he will say!!!!) I know, I Know, he's a pragmatist, he's intelligent and wants to have a successful Presidency, but I see no way around him bucking Stretch Pelosi and Smelly Harry and the libs that got him elected....

Let's just imaging an obscene spending/pork-laden bill chock full of Sex-education for pre-schoolers and legislation mandating same-sex marriage on a National level that the lib devilish duo in congress putting on Barry's desk.... Does anyone think he will veto the bill???? Really.... I don't....

Barry will also go out of his way to buddy up to the Arab world, France and everyone else who hates us, because he thinks they just hate President Bush when they really hate America, regardless of who is in charge.... Kids.... They never learn...

So I see Barry taking a hard left turn post January 20, 2009 and shoving that moderate crap up Barney Frank's uhmmm, ya know....

2. Israel Annihilates Hamas and Obama wavers - I definitely see Israel finally saying enough is enough and goes all the way this time crippling Hamas with a full ground war and all the accoutrement's that go along with it... It will be bloody, it will be ugly, the whole Arab street will be up in arms but until Israel get all of the rockets and eliminates the threat, it will not yield.

The war will be short - a week or two, but the aftermath will be long. The new President Obama will be flummoxed and will actually be the first President to waver in his support for Israel and offer much more support for Hamas than anyone could have expected....

Obama becomes billed as the First Presidential friend of Palestine....

3. The Dems call for Stretch Pelosi and/or Harry Reid to step down - I see a conflict among the most liberal wing of the Demo-cruds getting very ansy with Stretch and Dirty Harry agreeing a little too much with Barry on not immediately withdrawing troops from Iraq. When Barry actually has to make hard decisions, he will realize President Bush was right all along in his assessment of the war and realizes that we must stay the course and fight to the end to win the war...

Code-Pinko commies, Move-left.org and the Daily-Kooks will all start buzzing that their needs to be "new leadership" to bring about the change that they voted for... And then the push to bring in new blood to lead the libs in congress will be underway by the end of 2009...

4. A new leader of the Republican party will emerge - Someone to finally bring the conservative voice back to Republicans in Washington will stand up to be heard.... This face will not be a new one but will be rejuvenated and now appreciated for the values and clear thought that he brings to the party...

See my article this coming week entitled "GOP Mike's Top 5 Conservatives to lead us out of the Abyss for 2009..." for my list of the top contenders including the voice I feel will emerge as the loudest and smartest...

5. Crisis - By the end of 2009, the country will go through an international crisis and the new President will be badly out-maneuvered because he over-thinks, over-analyzes and tries to coddle evil...

The end result of this will be a lot of people yearning for, you guessed it, President Bush's' no-holds-barred, unambiguous nature of calling terrorists what they are - Evil....

I know this is a political site, but just to keep things fresh, I will throw in a few sports prognostications:

Sports

1. Subway Series - Being a New Yawkuhhhh, I know I will set off a lot of people with this one, but the Mets and Yankees will have stellar years and meet again in a Subway series to the Nation's disgust...

btw - The Mets will prevail in 7 gut-wrenching games over their cross-town nemesis.....

2. The NY Football Giants will repeat as Superbowl Champs - They will beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in a blow-out which concludes 2 weeks of Super-hype!!!

3. Tiger not so fierce - Tiger Woods will return from his knee surgery and will be way off his game in 2009 going 0-4 in the Majors as he struggles to find his game and balance fatherhood, business and golf....

I would love to hear some of your insights on what we may see in '09

Just my thoughts....

  1. Subway Series? No way. Look at the last eight World Series champions. On the other hand, the Giants might win the Super Bowl. Politically, you say that Harry and Nancy are going to put a bill on Obama's desk that gives the moonbat left every legislative dream come true, but then you say the moonbat left will start pushing to replace Harry and Nancy by the end of the year. If the moonbats are getting everything they want, why would they want to get rid of Harry and Nancy?

  2. Jim:

It is the way I have to hedge my bets....

No, only kidding.... I think the Moonbats will gripe no matter how left Barry and the Harry & Nancy show go.....

As for the Subway Series, lets say that with the money these two teams spent this winter and with both having new ballparks, it will be pushed hard and anything short of the series for either team will be considered a disappointment in NYC...

    Just my thoughts, though....

  3. I agree about the emergence of a new leader for the GOP. The old guard including Newt need to step aside or be thrown under the bus (Can't we have a new cliche too?).

  4. The Steelers don't get blown out, ever. While I could certainly see that matchup happening, it would be a very close game.

    I'm going with Pittsburgh-Carolina, personally.
